Square footage and whether you're single- or two-story affect both usable roof area and typical consumption.
Who's home, and when
A household that's out from 9 to 5 has a very different peak-load pattern than one that works from home, and that changes what battery or generator capacity is actually worth paying for.
Electric vehicles
An EV you already own, or one you're planning to buy, adds a real and predictable load that a system should be sized around from the start.
Fuel and placement, for generators
What fuel source is already available and where a unit can legally sit on your property both change cost and what's realistic to install.
