Information we collect

When you request a quote or fill out an interview form, we collect what you give us directly: name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, and, if you choose to provide it, your ESID (Electric Service Identifier) or a copy of a recent utility bill. For the solar, home battery, and backup generator interview, we also collect details about your home (square footage, roof orientation, occupancy patterns) that you submit.

How we use it

We use this information to match you with electricity plans, prepare quotes, and follow up about your request by phone, text, or email. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share what you submit with the specific retail electric provider or partner you choose to enroll with, so they can complete your enrollment.

Uploaded documents

If you upload a copy of your bill, it’s used only to help price and prepare your quote. We do not use uploaded files for any purpose beyond your specific request.

Cookies and analytics

This site may use standard analytics tools to understand how visitors use it. These tools typically collect general usage data (pages viewed, time on site) and do not identify you personally.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by reaching out through our contact page.

If we are unable to contact you or you don’t respond

Electricity quotes are time-sensitive, since pricing shifts with the market. If we’re unable to reach you, or you don’t respond to our follow-up, we keep your request on file for 90 days and then delete it. If you’d like a current quote after that, you’re welcome to submit a new request.

Terms of Use

Who we are

TX Energy Source is a Texas electricity brokerage registered with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), serving residential and commercial customers across the ERCOT deregulated market. We are a broker, not a retail electric provider (REP); we help you compare and choose a plan, but the contract for electricity service is between you and the provider you select.

Acceptance of these terms

By using this site, requesting a quote, or submitting any form, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site.

No offer, no contract

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell electricity service, and nothing on it forms a contract between you and TX Energy Source or any electricity provider. Rates, plan details, and program information are provided for general comparison purposes only. A binding agreement for electricity service exists only once you separately sign an enrollment or service agreement directly with a retail electric provider.

Quotes and pricing

Rates, quotes, and estimates shown on this site or provided in response to a request are estimates based on the information you provide. They are not a binding offer, and actual pricing is set by the retail electric provider at the time of enrollment. Electricity markets move, and a quote you received on one date may no longer be available later.

Site content is subject to change

We may update, correct, or remove any content on this site, including pricing information, program descriptions, and these terms themselves, at any time and without prior notice. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Eligibility

This site is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a service agreement, and by authorized representatives of a business requesting a commercial quote.

Third-party links

This site links to enrollment pages operated by third-party partners. Once you leave our site, your use of those pages is governed by that partner’s own terms and privacy policy, not ours. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.

Intellectual property

The text, graphics, logos, and design of this site belong to TX Energy Source unless otherwise noted, and are protected under applicable copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your own personal or internal business use, but you’re not permitted to republish, resell, or otherwise use our content commercially without written permission.

No warranty

This site and the information on it are provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work to keep pricing and program information current, but market conditions and provider offers change, sometimes without notice, and we don’t warrant that the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fully up to date at every moment.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TX Energy Source isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, a quote you received through it, or your dealings with any retail electric provider or partner. This includes, without limitation, losses related to service interruptions, rate changes, or delays in follow-up.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold TX Energy Source harmless from any claim or demand arising out of your misuse of this site or your violation of these terms.

Electronic communications

By using this site, you agree that we can communicate with you electronically, by email, text message, or notices posted on the site, and that these electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from your use of this site or these terms will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in full effect.

Communications Consent

By submitting a phone number or email address through this site, you consent to be contacted by TX Energy Source by phone, text message, or email regarding your quote request. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and out of email by using the unsubscribe link in any message.
